The platform operates across selected areas of Southwestern and Eastern Uganda, supporting movement of people as well as the transportation of agricultural produce and other goods. For farmers and traders, access to reliable transport is particularly important for moving produce from farms and collection points to markets and other destinations. Ntuha Ride provides a technology-enabled mechanism for connecting transport demand with available service providers, helping make local mobility and logistics more accessible and organised.
Ntuha Ride is complemented by USSD-enabled functionality, extending access beyond smartphone users and making transport services accessible to people using basic mobile phones. This combination demonstrates how digital platforms can be designed around different levels of connectivity and device access, ensuring that technology remains useful and inclusive for the communities it serves.
